Gas Prices, Redux

I recently wrote about the high price of gas in Alaska, but thought I should update that info with this bit: the price in my neighborhood dropped to $3.99 this morning. Never mind that it's still higher now than it was a month ago; it's down just in time for election day.

Quite the coinkydink, no?

Yeah, it's down to "only" $3.45/gallon for 89 octane here in Southern Kaliforniastan.

Went to the city 30 miles away and found some gas for under $3.00!!! It was $2.99!! Something was said about "winter gas". It's cheaper to make, supposedly.

I'm waiting with baited breath for this election to be OVER. Am sick of all the lies and innuendos.

Take care...love your header!

drjim, I'm not surprised. It'll probably go back up pretty soon, though.

CottonLady, that's a wonderful price, and we'd be THRILLED to find it that cheap up here. Re: the election, we're all heartily sick of it. And thank you for your kind words about the header; that's the view from my building in mid-town.

WELL....the only reason I didn't mention the header picture was that you *always* have beautiful ones!

Thank you, sir - the land makes us ALL good photographers, here.

Ours dropped some, as well. What upsets me, though, is realizing that I'm excited about gas under $3.70. Frog in the pot...

I pay little attention to gas prices here. Sixth largest metro area in the country, but no refineries - all comes in via pipeline.
My roomie is always remarking about the 'good deal' @ so-and-so.
How is gas over 23.9 (like when I first began driving) a good deal?
So, I shudder and fill 'er up. Or what I can afford...
Sigh
