Crunch Time

Astute readers will have noticed that my posting has fallen off, of late. There's a reason for that.

A week ago Monday, my lovely wife's car was hit from behind while she waited at a stop sign. While the car is still drivable, she is suffering from the whiplash which resulted as she was looking over her left shoulder at the time, awaiting an opportunity to merge. There are torn ligaments & bruised chest muscles; she's in a lot of pain, has not been released to go back to work, and is on very strong pain meds.

I've been doing double duty, taking all the chauffeuring of Younger Daughter to/from work, extra driving & errands which we normally divide between us. This, plus concern for her, is more than enough distraction to keep me from blogging normally.

Things will return to normal, eventually. Meanwhile, I've got to take her car to the body shop this morning.

Later, y'all. Thanks for stopping by.

Oh no!

Prayers for her speedy recovery.

I hope the Christmas season is still grand at Chez Paul.

I'm sorry she's still having issues with that.

Prayers for her, my friend.

I surely hope she heals quickly and well. Whiplash is just a nasty misery.

Yow! Been there, done that (getting rear-ended) - don't let anybody talk her into signing off on the injury for a long time. People joke about whiplash but it can be very serious.

PH, not to worry. Meanwhile, she can't play the piano (we're professional musicians), make Christmas cookies, or even wrap presents.

Been there. Jewel Lake & Raspberry, minivan that decided my car made a great auxiliary braking device while I was looking for cross traffic. She has my deepest sympathies and heartfelt hopes for a smooth and speedy recovery.

If you want a physical therapist with thumbs of titanium, great sense of humor, and weakness for boston cream pie, I can highly recommend the woman who put me back together afterward.

Wing, I'll let you know. And thanks.

OUCH!

I missed this one due to being at work at sea, but you two definitely have my sympathy.

And I just know you'll take good care of her!
