The weather pattern of clear skies & sunshine, single-digit highs, and sub-zero lows has finally broken. As I write this, it's snowing sideways, 11 degrees, with winds gusting from 10 to 20 mph.
If Accu-Hunch is even close to accurate (and that's not something I'd bet on), we could have a fresh foot or more of snow by Wednesday night. At least we're working in that direction.
It may sound strange to you who don't live in snow country, but we need the snow to insulate things. There has been a rash of frozen/burst pipes over the last month, and even grass fires out in The Valley because of the lack of snow cover.
This is a good thing.
