Scene Around Anchorage

Skiing on a trail near Big Lake.

Star the reindeer crosses 6th Avenue, downtown Anchorage.

Pan ice on Ship Creek, shortly after high tide. This is near downtown Anchorage.

Harbor tug tied up at the Port of Anchorage, at sunrise. Tordrillo Mtns (75 miles to the west) are visible in the background; the highest peak is Mt. Spurr, an active volcano.

All cool. I like the one with the reindeer crossing the street as if it's a human too.

Thanks, Matt. Star the reindeer has been kept by its handler for years, and is a regular feature in parades etc both here & in Fairbanks.

That's not skiing, that's CHEATING! :-)

NFO, it's cross-country skiing, so he'd be using the poles if not for the dogs. So kinda-sorta cheating, either way. :)

Glad you like it, PH. :)
