Odd though. The other day when the "wan" announced his 23 proclamations, he quoted Reagan as having made a "gun grabbing comment" in his final days before his Alzheimer's over took him.I had never heard that before.
IF it's true, then I think the Alzheimer's already had him.
President Reagan was already having Alzheimer symptoms before his last years. After the attempted assassination attempt is probably a good marker of time. As per my understanding, going under anesthesia can make the dementia more pronounced.
K, understood. I remember reading Bob Hope's autobiography, and he said when they met for the last time (at Nixon's funeral, I think) "the sparkle had gone out of Ronnie's eyes."
"K" is exactly right about triggers for Alzheimer's exacerbation. My brother just sent this link. Have to say: I'd forgotten about the lead-up to the 'shot heard round the world.'http://chuckbaldwinlive.com/home/archives/5365
Cathy, that's a great article - thanks for providing the link.
I miss him too. Very much of late.
Stephen, I think what makes the longing even worse is that there's no one else of his stature in the pipeline.
Did you hear that they 'postpned' that PA Eastern Sports and Outdoor show? The one co-sponsored by Progressive Insurance? (George Soro's buddy owns it.Well . . here's one take on it.Obviously these guys still don't get it. Probably because Reed Exhibitions is a British Company. Was the presence of MSR's last year a distraction? People are murdered in America EVERY DAY. But notice how the media (Progressives) only cash in when it involves a school and/or a gun and it's emotionally charged. The bottom line is that they would love to restrict free American's right to own guns for ANY reason.
Cathy, apparently "postponed" is a euphemism for "cancelled", because I understand up to 75% of the sponsors have backed out.Idiots.
