The first picture was taken downtown, at the start of the 2006 Iditarod race, and just happens to have me in it. I'm on the roof of the brown building, in the blue jacket. (You'll have to click for big.)
The moose in the front yard is the one which gave rise to the URL for this blog.
The pyramidal mountain along the highway is in Wasilla.
The mountains here are from my bedroom window, several years ago. Those branches had grown to the point that I couldn't get a decent shot anymore, although I get excellent close-ups of the branches. But the worst of the offenders is the one that blew over in last September's hurricane-force winds, and was cut down. They're visible again, which I enjoy.
This last picture is the driveway to the place we first stayed when we moved here ten years ago.
