Monday Iditarod Update

With a chase pack of evenly matched racers battling for position in these final hours of the race, anything short of perfection might not be good enough. Consider the top contenders now struggling to keep pace with race leaders Mitch Seavey, who led the way into Shaktoolik on Sunday night, and Aaron Burmeister.

That's about all of interest to Outsiders. There are lots of little squabbles going on as politicians and parties begin to position themselves for the 2014 elections, but it's mostly childish IMHO. Electioneering usually strikes me that way: I've always regarding squabbling & accusations of "unfair advantage" over poll access almost always come from whichever party perceives itself to have the weaker position in local issues.

Or maybe it's just me ... but I don't think so.

PioneerPreppy, a lot of folks do; that police blotter has been noticed internationally, and it seems to be as much about the style of the police sgt. who writes it. She has a droll style (i.e., "drunken louts", etc).
