ANCHORAGE, Alaska—Alaska State Troopers say a floatplane's pilot and sole occupant was uninjured after the aircraft crashed and flipped on a lake in the Mat-Su Valley Monday afternoon.
According to AST spokesperson Megan Peters, troopers were informed of the crash on Willow Lake, near Mile 70 of the Parks Highway, just after 3:17 p.m. Monday.
“Essentially, the plane’s flipped -- I don’t know if it was on takeoff or landing,” Peters said.
