Yesterday's events in the District of Columbia were evil personified, and there's plenty of tragedy about which you can report.
So why, in the name of all that's holy and good, do we need to hear a report from Alaskan tourists who "discovered they were only miles away from the Navy Yard", and listen to them droning about how bad the traffic was?
Here's a hint, folks: they were not involved ... they. are. not. the. story. I don't need an "Alaskan connection" to bring the tragedy closer to home - it's plenty bad on it's own.
Meanwhile, how about prayers for the survivors, and their families?
