Older Daughter, who was the ringleader of the wife-and-two-daughters cabal who provided me with a Garand last Christmas, has been eyeballing said rifle all year.
And hers arrived last night. (You knew that was coming, didn't you?)
For those who keep track of such things, it was manufactured in March, 1943. Fired in anger? Quite probably. The barrel, dated 1965, is a 1+ at both chamber and muzzle, and still looks new. Given that the military was busily issuing M-16s at the time, it probably didn't get used much after '65, anyway.
Next, another range trip.
