And That's All She Wrote

So as the sun pulls away from the pier, and the ship sinks slowly in the west, we finish our packing.

We have about two and a half hours before getting in a taxi for the airport. I must report that the departure lounge in Honolulu is one of the most somber places we've been. Nobody wants to go, of course. And the knowledge that we're leaving 80 degrees here & that it will be 37 there in the morning, doesn't help.

Perhaps I overdramatize, a bit. But not by much.

At any rate, things will slowly return to normal... but after 9 days in Hawaii, that's not much encouragement. :)

Either way, we'll be home in the morning. Until then, my friends, may God keep you, may He hold you in the palm of His hand, and may He bless your going out and coming in.

:)

Have a safe trip.

And you have lots of very good memories to keep.

Surely this is a site well worth seeing.

Friday afternoon we left the mid-80s (and the pool and beach and rum punches and a long list of other stuff) and by nighttime were digging through the backpacks for jackets to deal with the low-40s and, well, the return to reality.

You have my empathy if not my sympathy. ;)

Welcome home.

Beautiful sunny 18 deg. morning.
Saw my first robin of the year.
Snowed off and on last three days, and forecasted again this afternoon.

But, looking at the bright side, spring has finally sprung.
And the winter snowfall is melting fast.

drjim - thank you very much. :)

Jerry - thanks, and welcome!

Knucklehead - understood, and thanks.

Griz - it was only 43 when we got off the plane this morning, but still a big change from 82 yesterday.

You're welcome, ML. It was an interesting experiment for me, to do all that on a phone. Hadn't tried, before.
