Officer observed two vehicles racing on Henry
Swanson Drive with one of the vehicles almost colliding head on with the
officer. When contacted the individuals stated that they wanted to give
their toddler son the sense of racing in the wind. Subject was
summonsed for multiple charges.
Caller reported four to five children playing
inside of a parked vehicle. Officer responded and contacted the children
who said they were using the vehicle as a prop for their Parkour video.
Officer advised the children not to use other people's property as a
prop for their video.
Complainant reported being beat up at the
Harborview Bar. Officers responded and conducted an investigation.
Investigation revealed the complainant had been asked to leave the bar
because he was unruly, argumentative and hostile to bar personnel. Once
outside the complainant pushed and punched at another patron who struck
the complainant once in the head.
Officers received an anonymous complaint of a
vehicle speeding. Officers were able to locate the vehicle and driver in
question. The driver was apologetic and said he was in a rush home to
start hot-tubbing. The driver was advised not to speed in the future.
A driver who parked and left his vehicle squarely
in the middle of an intersection, prohibiting access through and beyond
said location, was issued a citation.
[Name redacted], 42 yoa, of Unalaska, was arrested
for Driving Under the Influence after an officer observed him utilizing
the entire roadway for his driving endeavors. [He] told the arresting
officer that he had simply gone out to get more beer.
