You are not alone.
Heh. I am so glad my life is pretty much one long vacation. And that I live where people pay to vacation in.
Will you be in the new house before you leave on vacation?
Understood, Ed.PH - we also live in a tourist mecca, but it's been too long since my last getaway. DS1 - no, that will happen about a week after we get back.
Just hang in there!
Doing my best, sir.
If it puts it in perspective - I've spent every vacation day in the last 21 years, between stroke, cancer and Alzheimers, caring for aging parents and their home. We didn't even take a honeymoon, doing one night at a B and B and then flying out to Dad, to winterize the house and get all the firewood chopped for the year as my brother was too ill to do it. I don't regret it, my family is the best, but it sends me back to work stressed and exhausted. The only trips I've taken were work in another country. So a month to wait is not bad. At least you get to go.
Yes ma'am, that puts things in perspective. This is me, slinking back to my corner now.
You richly deserve it, and I expect some photos from the trip so I can enjoy it second hand (and if you can express mail any beer sampled, even better. Hugs.
Rev. Paul,Before you know it 1 month will pass, and you'll be on an airplane 1/2 way to your vacation destination. Hubby and I are planning a short vacation later in the year.
Brigid, I will post pictures of sights ... and whatever. And all hugs are gratefully received. :) Sandy, I know. There's lots of packing & preparing to get ready for our move in May. The airline travel isn't anything to look forward to, the way it was a few decades ago. But it's better than sitting around, staring out the windows from home. :)
